Saturday, May 8, 2010:  1:00 P.M. Parade Line – Up at Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena

                   Group and Individual participants welcome.

NO ENTRY FEE

Parade Route: From the Arena on Hwy. 99, into Athens on Market St. to the Courthouse square, turn left, or north on Jefferson St and continue to Elm St. Turn left, or west on Elm St., and return to the Arena.

 

2:00 P.M.    Grand Marshal will lead the 28th Annual Rodeo Parade, featuring Queen Contestants & Cowgirls and Cowboys of all ages on horseback along with many buggies & wagons.

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Rodeo sponsors a Rodeo Queen Contest. There are seven divisions for the Queen Contest ranging from ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, and 18-26. Horsemanship is optional for all divisions except “Miss Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo”, the 18-26 year old division. Horsemanship for the 18-26 year old division requires horsemanship participation. Contestants in this division compete to win a “Running P” custom-made trophy saddle, a custom belt buckle, a watch, scholarship money and much more. The entry fee for this division is $100.00. Applications can be picked up at the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, downloaded from www.limestonesheriffrodeo.com, or by mail if you reside out of town.
