Debbie prepares to start the annual Western Fashion Show and Street Dance to kick-off Rodeo Week in Athens.

Welcome to the official web site of the Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Queen Pageant.  Our pageant is rich in history and tradition and we work hard each year to make it fun as well as a learning experience for our contestants.  We are announcing our 34th pageant and looking forward with great anticipation to this year’s event.

Our Pageant, started in 1983, has experienced tremendous growth over the past three decades.  Starting with a handful of contestants ranging in age from 15 to 18 in the beginning, and now from age 3 up to 26 years of age, adds lots of fun and excitement for all ages desiring to participate in the annual Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo.  And speaking of growth, the prizes offered in this pageant are second to none.  Scholarship money was added last year and is to be increased for this year’s contest.  This, plus a  custom made saddle courtesy of  Halsey FoodService, in addition to the many gifts offered by Alabama’s greatest western store, Preston’s Western Wear, located right here in Athens, Alabama, makes ours a pageant that few can pass up.

Please check out our entire web site and feel free to contact us if we can provide additional information.  You may download your application or pick one up at Preston’s,  or at the Sheriff's Office on Elm Street.  Please note this year’s deadline which is April 14 for ages 3-15, and May 1 for ages 16-26.  We had a few to miss the deadline and we certainly do not want that to happen again.

We look forward to having many of you join us for this year’s pageant.
